Andrew Schulz is one of top young comics in the country. He turned to stand up after working at a restaurant near his college, UC Santa Barbara. The restaurant had a comedy night, and Schulz’s co-workers encouraged him to perform. After his debut, he quickly returned to the East Coast to dive into the NYC comedy scene. Within a few months, he began to perform shows at the Comedy Village along with some of the top New York comics. After the Comedy Village closed its doors, Schulz moved on to other clubs in the city – thanks in part to the support of comedian, Calise Hawkins. In 2008, Schulz performed at Scotland’s famous Edinburgh Comedy Festival. He now currently entertains audiences at the city’s top comedy clubs, including the Comedy Cellar, Stand Up NY, and the Village Lantern – the last of which he also hosts. He has written and starred in both the Rise of the Radio Show and The Apartmentship web series. Schulz has also served as the host of Certified on the Music Choice Network. Currently, he stars on both MTV shows Guy Code and Hip Hop Squares.
